Moderators, admin tools, album search & a desktop Dock menu
- macOS desktop app: right-click the Sounderman icon in the Dock for quick controls — Play/Pause, Next, Previous, Shuffle and Repeat, just like Spotify. Grab the latest build below.
- Search now finds albums too — on the web and the iPhone — not just tracks and people.
- Invite codes can now only be created by moderators (and admins), to keep the room growing at a sane pace. Admins decide who's a moderator.
- New admin area: a dedicated Roles page (admins only, linked in the sidebar) with a username search to make someone a moderator or admin — and you can switch a member's roles right from their profile.
- Admins can now edit, replace, or delete any track, album, or playlist — handy for tidying up the shared room.
- Library: tap a song and the next track is the one right below it, not a random pick (shuffle still shuffles the whole library).
- Imports can be stopped mid-run — and you choose whether to keep or delete the tracks that already came in.
- Replacing a track's audio now actually swaps it everywhere; the old version no longer lingers on your machine or anyone else's.
- Jams: joining one starts playing the current song, in sync, right away — instead of waiting for the next track.
- Turn an album into a playlist in one tap (“Add to New Playlist”), reactions now notify the uploader, the desktop player bar shows real cover art, the EQ “Save preset” works in the desktop app, and the volume slider is smooth across its whole range.
- iPhone: you can finally dismiss the keyboard (search could get stuck), plus the jam-sync, Connect hand-off, library order and track-replace fixes above.

A much lighter player
- New Performance mode (Settings) — switches off the audio spectrum, the equalizer bars and all decorative motion so the app uses as little CPU and GPU as possible. Everything still works; it just stops animating.
- Big efficiency pass on the player itself: the visualizer and now-playing bar are far lighter to draw, so playback is easier on your battery and fans — most noticeably in the desktop app.
- Desktop app: closing it to keep the music playing in the background now sips power instead of running at full tilt. Grab the latest build below.

Desktop app, smarter player & more
- Back and forward buttons in the header — retrace your steps without leaving the app (especially handy in the desktop app, which has no browser bar). In the desktop app your mouse's back/forward side buttons work too.
- Tidier player bar on mobile: the track info and the transport controls now sit on their own rows instead of competing for space.
- Click a song's title — in any list or in the now-playing bar — to open its page.
- “Add to playlist” is now a dialog: tick as many playlists as you like at once (and create a new one inline) instead of a one-at-a-time dropdown.
- Sounderman is now a desktop app (macOS / Windows / Linux) — the full app in its own window, alongside the web app and the iPhone app.
- Control what's playing on another device straight from your iPhone — Sounderman Connect now works on iOS too.
- Make it yours: pick a custom accent colour in Settings → Appearance.
- “Add to queue” now means play next — queued tracks jump ahead of shuffle and the radio, in the order you add them — with a clearer queue panel.
- “Previous” goes back to the track you actually just heard (even on shuffle); past 5 seconds it restarts the current track instead.
- The player bar now spans the full width of the window.
- No match in search? Import it right from the search box.
- Faster library and profiles — tracks load as you scroll instead of all at once.
- Discover has dedicated Albums and Playlists sections, and any member's playlist is browsable (read-only) — your Liked Songs stay private.
- Add cover images to your playlists and albums; albums imported from a link use the first track's artwork automatically.
- Import a song just by name — type a title and artist, no link needed.
- Replace a song's audio in place without losing its likes, comments or playlist spots.
- Shuffling a playlist starts on a random track, with confirmation prompts before deleting things.

Big feature batch + the iPhone app
- Import music from YouTube, Spotify and SoundCloud — a track, album or playlist — with live progress. The source artwork becomes the cover, and a single can be added straight to an existing album.
- Native iPhone app (SwiftUI), in step with the web app.
- Sounderman Connect: control playback across your devices, with volume synced everywhere.
- Jams: shared listening sessions you can host or join, with everyone in sync.
- Offline downloads: auto-download the songs you play, or save tracks one by one (web + iOS).
- Social: comments, emoji reactions, a notifications inbox, collaborative playlists and live room presence.
- Discovery: a personalised feed, “more like this”, tag pages and your own listening stats.
- Player upgrades: keyboard shortcuts, a sleep timer, a queue panel, lock-screen / media controls and a reworked seek bar.
- Albums gained track ordering, songs gained synced lyrics, and the EQ gained custom presets.
- Polish under the hood: multi-artist links, a Safari playback fix, mobile seek-bar fixes, and backend hardening for speed and security.
